The Enchanted Forest, Muir Woods

I always new we had Muir Woods full of Redwood trees just 11 miles passed the Golden Gate Bridge but had no idea how beautiful it was! Me and my love wanted to get out of the city to celebrate our one year. We both love nature and hiking so Muir Woods was the obvious choice.

Once we got there we wanted to get off the paved trails and go deeper into the woods away from all the tourists. We started on Hillside Trail that was higher than the Main Trail with a nice view of everything. We then ended up on Ocean View Trail with soooo many steps! Our hearts were pounding, we were sweating but we finally made it to the top. At the top is was hot like a desert because there was no shade like down among the redwoods. We were expecting to see a beautiful view of the ocean but all we saw were trees after trees. As we were leaving I just happened to look another direction and there was the ocean! Barely visible but there it was there! As we were going down we saw that the trail we went up was actually called "Lost Trail". Ha! That name made more sense!

When we got to the bottom we saw the perfect spot to have lunch. There was a creek, trees fallen with moss and nobody in sight. It was the best location ever! My love had the spot for his log cabin chosen and I had the perfect place for my chair to relax and enjoy the beauty of the creek and redwoods. We didn't want to leave but sadly we had too.

We made our way back even though we didn't want to go back to the concrete jungle.  The day was so peaceful, calm, and we were happy. If you live in the Bay area or ever come to visit, Muir Woods is a must see!

We were very lucky to have beautiful weather since it's usually cold and foggy. Mother Nature knew it was our 1 year ;)

He's so tiny compared to the Redwoods!

We saw a Spotted Owl during the day! He wouldn't fly away and just sat on the branch. What does that mean??

This trail made us sweat, take breaks, climb stairs but it was all so worth it!

You see the ocean out in the distance? We almost missed it!

 Our enchanted forest.
Also, the perfect lunch spot. Where did you have lunch??

Beautiful day!!

Chic Working Space

Ever since I've moved into my recent apartment I've been struggling on what I want my room to look like. I like simple, feminine and a splash of color. I have ideas but I already have a lot of things in my room that makes it hard to work with. I wish I could just buy everything new!

I was browsing The Coveteur and they went into the offices of Who What Wear in Los Angeles and I love everything about it. I would love to work in a place that looks like their offices! Even though it's their offices I still found amazing inspiration for my room.  You can find their entire office here and be inspired!

I love the pop of colors that drastically changes the table below the T.V!

This inspiration board is like a piece of art on the wall. I always have cut outs from magazines or photographs that I don't know what to do with. I just may do this!

What a great idea to display the colorful nail polishes in a glass container instead of storing them!

The glass desk gives the office a clean modern simple look that I like and want!

Love Love Love the chair and table!

Everything is so clean and chic. I love it all! This definitely inspires me for my bedroom and future office. What do you think?

Red Hot Emmy's!

I always get excited for the red carpet of any show. As far back as I could remember I would watch all of them with my mom and just drool over the beautiful gowns and critique the not so hot gowns. I think that is where I got my love of gowns from. I miss watching it with her but at least we chit chat over the phone about the gowns.

The Emmy's had a hot red carpet! The red carpet did not disappoint and I love how more gowns were body fitting. The color RED was a major trend along with sparkly nudes and statement earrings to finish off the looks.  Here are the hits and trends from last night!

Sophia Vergara in a stunning Vera Wang.
I love how the gown drapes around her and the color is just stunning for her. The earrings are a perfect finishing touch to her look!

Christina Hendricks in a custom made Johanna Johnson gown.
Va Va Voom! Christina embraces her curves and looks fabulous in this old Hollywood glamour feeling gown.

  Lea Michele in Marchesa.
The rosette sleeves are a perfect touch to her gown. I love this gown but I wish it showed a little more for her age.

Elizabeth Moss in Marchesa.
One of my favorite sparkly nude gowns! The sheer sleeves that go up her arms are a beautiful detail and perfectly fitted for her.

Nina Brobev in Donna Karen.
My favorite of the night! How perfect does this gown fit her?? Looks like she melted right into it! Her necklace is not to bold to take away from her fitted ruffled gown.

Jennifer Carpenter in Tony Ward Couture.
Another sparkly nude gown with a hint of leg. The sparkle drapes perfectly down her body and the v neck is just enough!

 Kate Winslet in Elie Saab.
Another hot Elie Saab gown. She is the master of gowns and this one is another masterpiece. It's simple yet elegant and sexy. Perfect!

Kerry Washington in Zuhair Murad.
She totally worked this gown!

Cobie Smulders in Alberta Ferretti.
The pop of color is fantastic along with the deep v neckline and draped shoulders and waistband that accentuates her waist. The draping of the gown flatters her so well!

Evan Rachel Wood in Elie Saab.
She is wearing my favorite designer and black which is a color you could never go wrong with. Sexy!

Jayma Mays in Zuhair Murad.
I'm crushing on her tiered ballet pink gown! Her pop of pink on her lips is perfect! It's so sweet and feminine yet elegant.

 Kelly Osbourne in J Mendel.
How amazing does she look!? All I can say is grown up and wow!

Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival

Every year Ghirardelli has a chocolate festival that I always end up missing. I love love love chocolate and this year I was not missing it! As I was crossing the street to the festival I could already smell the delicious chocolate and fresh waffle cones with ice cream. Of course I had to get one! I got a scoop of chocolate chip ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Oh my goodness, it was heaven! As I walked around with my ice cream I saw many tables with samples you could try. It was all just a tease because you had to purchase tickets to try all the savory samples. There was fudge, mini sundae samples, chocolate dipped cookies, cupcakes, chocolate shakes and so much more. There were other tasty foods if for some crazy reason you didn't want to have chocolate. Maybe next year I'll buy a ticket to try all the chocolate. How many types of fudge can there be?? I'll let you know next year ;)

 My heavenly ice cream

So much fudge!

I wouldn't mind a bag as a gift! My favorite is dark chocolate with raspberry. What's yours?

I ate all of the ice cream and waffle cone and savored every bite but then I got thirsty. It was worth it!

A beautiful day to celebrate chocolate.
